Mate Extrawheel Trailer

                          Mate Extrawheel Trailer.

This is a one-wheel bicycle trailer III generation dedicated to Fat Bicycles.
It's based on a 135 mm axel.
Highly rigid frame improving traction and allowing transport of luggage to 35kg. It is the only bicycle trailer on the market adapted for off-road riding.
Fits wheels up to max 29x3" and 26x5".
On steep climbs, it keeps the front wheel of the bicycle on the ground better.
Spreads the load better when riding on soft surfaces
than just having all the weight on the bicycle alone.

I've used the original Extrawheel trailer extensively and found it to be very reliable.
Only being one wheel the drag is minimal compared to a two-wheel trailer.
The width is also good on busy highways where cars & trucks pass very close.  It is just the same as your bicycle width.
I'm still in the process of setting up this trailer to my fat bike.
Let me explain: My back wheel is a 177 mm thru-axle with a 1 mm thread pitch.
Going through all the axles on offer at the Extrawheel shop (date January 2020) none match the 1 mm thread pitch.
So I ordered a new Right side, Rocker, Hanger M12 * 1.5 thread pitch. Link to Paragon Machine Works
I thought this would solve the problem. To my surprise, the Extrawheel shop had no axles to fit my 177 mm thru-axle 1.5 thread pitch at this length.
Then I remembered seeing  Robert axle project.
My bicycle was not on the list. After following the instructions I was able to find a Yoke Axle that was the right length  209 cm M12 thru and 1.5 pitch thread.
I also had to order Extrawheel nuts  M10 * 1 mm to attach to the end of the Yoke Robert axle.
Yes, it worked at last.
Then I had a front Hope Pro 4 front Fatsno hub with 177 mm thru-axle. Luckily with this hub, I was able to just buy inserts to change the hub to a 135 mm quick release.
After some time and extra money used it looks like the setup will work.
